ant Technologies, a leader in the Russian market for IT logistics solutions, has started deploying the
Logistic Vision Suite WMS for TransAsia Logistic, a leading distributor company based in the south of Russia.
TransAsia Logistic is the exclusive distributor of Procter&Gamble products in Russia’s southern regions. The list of its suppliers also include other well-known manufacturers such as Braun, Ferrero, Kraft Foods, Harry's, Campina, Lorado, etc. The company has many branch offices and operates in the Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region and Stavropol Territory. It also has its own 7,500-m2 distribution center near Krasnodar.
The current project has been initiated by TransAsia Logistic to optimize its warehouse business processes, make its distributor business more manageable and offer a higher level of service to its customers. After having fully appreciated the flexibility and functionality of the proposed solution based on the Logistic Vision Suite WMS and reviewed the related deployment experiences of both Russian and foreign warehouses, TransAsia Logistic has chosen ant Technologies as the contractor for its warehouse automation project. During the competitive bidding held by TransAsia Logistic to choose the systems integrator, ant Technologies in co-operation with TransAsia Logistic developed a flexible approach to implement the project by suggesting that a pilot phase should be implemented to analyze and formalize the warehouse business processes and system requirements. The results of that phase are expected to help TransAsia Logistic to make an informed decision on whether to deploy a fully functional WMS at the distribution center.
By nowadays, ant Technologies has successfully completed the pilot phase and has been approved as the contractor to implement the entire project to deploy the WMS. In the course of the project, the company is expected to deploy a base system module designed to automate all of the basic warehousing operations, from acceptance to shipment, and to integrate that module with the accounting system (1C) used by the distributor. The WMS is expected to automate acceptance operations for products on mono and mixed pallets and in bulk, implement various accommodation strategies for products depending on their characteristics and many other factors, automate pickup and booking operations depending on product shelf lives and various customer requirements, provide for system storage of certificates and other accompanying documents, generate numerous user reports in various cross-sections, and many more.
Twenty software user licenses will be granted. The project is expected to be implemented within three and a half months.
